Here you will access and complete a detailed Compliance Matrix and Practice Statistics Questionnaire. Through these questionnaires and various other activities we are able to determine exactly what are the strengths and weaknesses in your clinic when it comes to compliance and other business practices that ultimately affect your income and profits. Through this process we will develop a complete plan to insure your practice is compliant and what you need to do to stay off the CMS/OIG and Major Medical Insurance carriers’ radar. The CSSi Protection Program This is our premier Compliance Solution that can virtually eliminate the potential of repayments to CMS, Medicare, Medicaid and Major Med Carriers. And with implementation of the CSSi Protection Plan, you also virtually eliminate claims of fraud or abuse. The CSSi Protection plan includes all of the benefits and features of Foundation 1, 2 & 3 and: THE PRACTICE COMPLIANCE ASSESSMENT Implementation of the CSSI Compliance Program begins with a detailed assessment of your practice. This is accomplished through a series of questionnaires, reviews and analysis of your equipment-coding, billing, claims history, treatment plans, medical necessity policy, carrier contracts and more. From this process the CSSI compliance team develops a detailed COMPLIANCE MATRIX. This Matrix defines not only how you run your practice, but how vulnerable your practice may be to carrier claims and other Non-Compliant activities that can endanger your practice. From the completed Matrix we develop, we then help you implement a custom tailored COMPLIANCE POLICY MANUAL and Program. COMPLIANCE POLICY MANUAL After completion of the COMPLIANCE MATRIX, the CSSI team begins the development of a customized COMPLIANCE POLICY MANUAL. This manual becomes the basis for defining the way the practice should be run. It also becomes the base document for defending the practice against claims for repayment of overpayments from CMS, Medicare, Medicaid and Private Carriers. Additionally the Compliance Policy manual becomes the primary component for the training of all personnel in the practice and is put into service through a detailed Implementation Plan. IMPLEMENTATION PLAN After completion of the Practice Compliance Matrix and the Compliance Policy Manual comes the IMPLEMENTATION PLAN. This assures, as much as possible, the successful implementation and integration of Compliant Policies in the practice. INTERNAL AUDITS Upon completion of the implementation plan comes the first of four (4) Internal Audits. The purpose of the audit is to catch errors in Billing, Coding, and other procedures that put the practice cash flow at risk. By auditing, then correcting problems and errors identified during the audit the practice “TAIL” (billings subject to audit and possible return) can be eliminated. The first audit will be followed up with three (3) additional audits performed at 90 day intervals, thereby reducing the practice's exposure from as much as 5 years (remember your claims can be challenged up to 7 years from date of service) to a period of never more than 90 days. MONTHLY TRAININGS Each month after implementation of the CSSI Compliance Program, the practice will begin to receive monthly trainings and bulletins that are intended to keep the practice up to date on new and important information from CMS, the OIG, (Office of the Inspector General) and other industry news as it relates to compliance and the health. CUSTOMIZABLE EMPLOYEE MANUAL Every office should have a general employee manual that addresses such topics as sick leave, bad weather, pay periods, reviews etc. The CSSi Compliance Package gives you the ability to customize the manual with access to over 90 different policies that any office may need.
